It's comforting to know that despite Sony Ericsson's given up on us (to a certain extent with the purchase of Symbian by Nokia), the Sling Media Company has decided to create a UIQ compatible version of Slingplayer.
To be honest though, this should have been done ages ago. It was evident that this was possible since the SE W950 UIQ 3 smartphone (which was launched a long, long time ago) already supported Slingplayer - so creating a UIQ 3 version which could be used on all UIQ 3 phones was just icing on the cake.
Anyway, back to the news - Sling Media is looking for beta testers for Slingplayer UIQ. All you need is a Slingplayer and an UIQ smartphone (P1/W960 or the Motorola ones) to provide occasional feedback, answer surveys, watch lots of TV, have an unlimited data plan; and at the very end you can be rewarded with a free copy of the UIQ version of Slingplayer. Easy job, eh?
