Finding out new cheap power sources
Developing robots fro space.
The development of ExoMars - a robotic probe which will search for life on Mars.

ESA director-general Jean-Jacques Dordain said.

Funding new innovations and promoting talent is a good sign for a progressive thought oriented nation, even in tough financial times. But it is sure that by funding these kind of projects, the quality life of a human would definitely improve, and the future for upcoming generations could be bright.
