Star Wars: The Force Unleashed To Be released For iPhone
2008-07-18 06:34:00 by Lika Todadze in Apple iPhone Blog

THQ Wireless is working on their new Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on the iPhone platform. The game is scheduled to be released in 16th September.

The action game features 2D graphics and Force power controls tailored to the iPhone's touch sensitive control system. Unfortunately it won’t support the accelerometer except for changing the screen to portrait or landscape mode.

In the game, instead of running through rooms, you control your character just like in Rebel Assault. All you have to do is draw symbols on screen, which performs specific tasks like Force Powers to kill your enemies. It sounds simple, but it gets complex and the soundtrack will be identical to the PS3 and Xbox versions.

The game will be from 2 to 3 hours long.

THQ is among the fastest growing video game publishers in the world, developing products for all viable current and next-gen game systems including the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, handheld systems including the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS, and high performance personal computers as well as wireless devices. THQ currently has more than 70 products in development across the action, racing, puzzle, wrestling, kids, action-adventure and platform game genres.

THQ has offices in the UK, United States, France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Denmark, Australia, Korea and Japan and owns 15 internal studios across the globe including Relic Entertainment, Volition Inc., Rainbow Studios and Juice Games.
