On the Apple Store website, it seems clear your choices among the iPod Touch offerings are 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models. Alerted by a photo posted by Flickr user iTomath, however, I was drawn to the What’s New with iTouch info page on the Apple site and, sure enough, the photo on the page as of this writing appears to indicate a 33GB device. Not that 1GB makes any difference in this day and age, but it does seem odd, doesn’t it?

Alright, first make a folder on the desktop. In it, you will need a couple of things. The two bootloader files 3.9BL, 4.6BL, and Pwnage 2.2, found here or here

You will also need the 2.2 iPhone firmware.
2.2.0 (2G): iPhone1,1_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw

When downloading the IPSW file, it is best to download it with Firefox!

Step One
Create a folder on your desktop with all the required files listed above.

Step Two
Double click to mount the PwnageTool dmg.

Drag the PwnageTool icon to the Pwnage folder then launch it.

Click Ok if presented with a warning.

Step Three
Make sure you click Expert Mode from the top menu.

Step Four
Select your iPhone or iPod from the three devices shown. Notice a large checkmark appears over the selected device. Then click the blue arrow button at the bottom right.

Step Five
You will be brought to the "Browse for IPSW" page. On my laptop, it automatically found the IPSW. If PwnageTool doesn't automatically find the ipsw file you can click Browse for IPSW... button.

Click to select the found IPSW file, a checkmark will appear next to it. Then click the blue arrow button to continue.

Step Six
You will then be brought to a menu with 7 choices. Click to select General then click the blue arrow button.

The General settings allows you to decide the partition size. Click activate the phone and Disable partition wipe-out. Click the blue arrow button.
***If the Enable Baseband checkbox is not greyed out, checkmark it. This will allow the unlock to occur!***
***For the 2.2 firmware you may have to increase the size of your root partition slightly for the IPSW build to be successful. 590MB worked just fine for me***

In the Bootneuter settings, click Neuter bootloader, Unlock baseband, and Auto-Delete BootNeuter.app. It is not necessary to upgrade the bootloader unless you are really feeling the need to be on 4.6. Click the blue arrow button to continue.

The Cydia settings menu allows you to create custom packages so you do not have to manually install the necessary them later.

Click to select the Download packages tab. Then click the Refresh button to display all the available packages. Double clicking the package you want will download it and make it available in the Select Packages tab.

Checkmark the ones you want then Click the blue arrow button.

The Custom Packages Settings menu displays listed package settings for your custom IPSW. For know leave these settings as is. Click the blue arrow button to continue.

The Custom Logos Settings menu allows you to add your own images as boot logos. Click the Browse button to select your Boot logo and Recovery logo.

Remember the rules for them: RGB or Grayscale format with Alpha channel and dimension bellow 320x480.

Click the blue arrow button to continue.

Step Seven
You are now ready to build your custom firmware. Click the build button to select it, then click the blue arrow button.

Step Eight
If this is the first time doing this, you will be asked to upload the 3.9 and 4.6 BL files. When prompted to search the web, click no.

You will prompted to browse for the 3.9BL file. Click Yes then select the file(BL-39.bin) from the Pwnage folder you created on your desktop and click the Open button.

Select the file in the Pwnage folder on your desktop and click the Open button.

Do the same for 4.6.

***: After loading the 4.6 BL you may be asked if you're a legit user. If you legally have ATT or an iPhone plan in a different country, clicking yes will not unlock the iPhone and activate it as your legal plan already activates it and there is no need for an unlock. However if you wish to keep the iPhone unlocked, when asked if you're a legit iPhone user, click no

Step Nine
After both are found. You will be asked to save your custom .ipsw file. Save it to your Pwnage folder on the desktop.

Step Ten
Your custom IPSW is now being built. Please allow up to 10 minutes.

If prompted enter your Administrator password and click the OK button.

When prompted if your iPhone has been Pwned before, we clicked No. It allows for a more thorough restore.

You will be asked to turn off the device. Make sure it is connected to the USB port.

Step Eleven
Be ready to follow directions now. It will ask you to hold the home button and the power button for 10 seconds. Then, you will have to release the power button and hold the home button for 10 seconds to enter DFU.

If you fail, it will show you a message. Click Yes. Unplug the iPhone from the USB. Turn it off, then turn it back on. Plug it back into the USB and turn off the iPhone when prompted.

When done correctly, Pwnage 2.0 will display a message telling your that it successfully entered DFU mode. iTunes will also pop-up.

IMPORTANT***: The ‘late 2008’ MacBook/air/pro line of computers have an issue with DFU mode, it is possible to go from Pwned 2.1 -> 2.2 but going from stock to Pwned does not work, if in any doubt use a different machine. Meaning, if you have a late 2008 model MacBook and have not pwned you will have to use a different computer until we post a solution. If you have a late 2008 model MacBook and HAVE pwned then you can simply put the iPhone into recovery mode and restore with the newly created IPSW. You can find instructions on how to put the iPhone into recovery mode here

Step Twelve
In iTunes, hold the Alt/Option button and click Restore.

Step Thirteen
Navigate to the Pwnage folder on your desktop using the dialog window that appears. Select the custom IPSW that was created (iPhone1,1_2.1_5F136_Custom_Restore.ipsw) and click the Open button.

Step Fourteen
Once the restore has completed, it will restart your iPhone. The phone will then launch BootNeuter.app to unlock your device.

Please allow 5 minutes for this to complete. Your iPhone will restart once completed.
This blog will tell you how to Unlock Jailbreak Activate and Hack your iPhone and iTouch firmware for FREE

HandBrake is an open-source, GPL-licensed, multiplatform, multithreaded video transcoder, available for MacOS X, Linux and Windows.

NEW FEATURES:

Universal input
HandBrake is no longer limited to DVDs: it will now accept practically any type of video as a source. This massive enhancement was achieved by tapping into the power of libavcodec and libavformat from the FFmpeg project.

Linux GUI
There is now an official GTK graphical interface for Linux, available as a binary for Ubuntu. This is the real deal, interacting directly with HandBrake's core library instead of just putting a pretty face on a command line interface. It has full feature parity with the Mac interface.

Video quality
The x264 project has really come into its own this year, and HandBrake 0.9.3 integrates the latest improvements to the H.264 encoding library. Picture quality has enhanced dramatically through the use of psychovisual rate distortion and adaptive quantization, and there have been significant speed optimizations.

Audio flexibility
HandBrake now offers total control over multiple audio tracks.

No more internal DVD decryption
Yeah, we know, no one reading this is going "Oh wow, no more DVD decryption--what a great new feature!" but...deal.

HandBrake will dynamically load VLC's copy of libdvdcss if you have it in your Applications folder in Mac OS X, and if you're on Linux, and you want to live on the wild side, you can install libdvdcss on your system and get the same effect.

Translation of the last paragraph from nerdese:
We're not about to stop you from choosing to decrypt DVDs. If you're on a Mac, and you have VLC 0.9.x installed, you won't even notice the internal capability's gone. If you're on Linux, all you have to do is install a library.

Persistent queues
When queueing up a bunch of videos to encode, you need no longer fear a crash in HandBrake's graphical interfaces. Queued jobs are cached to disk for safekeeping between sessions.

New, better organized presets (Be sure to run "Update Built-In Presets" from the Presets menu!)
The presets are now "nested" in folders and have evolved. Notably, there is a new Apple "Universal" preset, designed to play and look good doing so on anything from an iPod Nano to an AppleTV.

There have been many changes to most of them. Please be aware that most presets now use different settings. This means most of them are not suited for benchmarking 0.9.3 against 0.9.2. For example, the AppleTV preset is slower because it is now quality based, and produces much more efficient output. The Normal preset uses psychovisual rate distortion. The High Profile presets use psychovisual trellising. All of these setting changes can influence encoding time and output file size.

For comparison purposes, there are several presets in the Apple->Legacy folder (the old iPod High-Rez, the old AppleTV, and the old iPhone presets) which remain unchanged since 0.9.2.

Audio-video synchronization
HandBrake should now keep lip-synch as well as a DVD player can.

Decomb filter
HandBrake now offers a decomb filter, in the style of AviSynth's. It is a deinterlacer that can be left on all the time without degrading picture quality, because it only deinterlaces video when it visibly needs to be.

Multi-threaded deinterlacing
The "Slow" and "Slower" filters, as well as the new decomb filter, will now take advantage of as many processors as you can throw at them.
"Same as source framerate" really is the same as the source framerate

HandBrake now, by default, passes through the exact video framerate of the source instead of smoothing to a constant rate, which could lead to frames being duplicated or dropped.

Theora video encoding
HandBrake now can encode video using the Theora codec.

Updated libraries
Besides x264, updated libraries include libsamplerate, libogg, xvidcore, libmpeg2, lame, faac, and ffmpeg's libavcodec, libavformat, and libswscale.

This blog will tell you how to Unlock Jailbreak Activate and Hack your iPhone and iTouch firmware for FREE

Pusher is RiPDev’s 2.2 version of a jailbreak that was released yesterday. BigBoss says RiPDev’s version will block access to / partition and make it impossible to install Cydia.

Pusher is RiPDev’s 2.2 version of a jailbreak. This should be avoided and not used. Instead use the dev team’s jailbreaks. RiPDev’s version will block access to / partition and make it impossible to install Cydia. (They want you using Installer of course). It’s pretty much worthless since most the packages are in Cydia. The dev team’s jailbreak allows you to use both Cydia and Installer. There is no valid reason to use Pusher instead of one of the pwnages below.

Update: This point had to be made. Pusher tries to say it doesn’t void your warranty indicating that it is different than pwnage / quickpwn in this regard. It is not. This is a lie! Your warranty is “officially” voided, although a simple restore in iTunes undoes any jailbreak and you can always get warranty service. Using pusher or pwnage makes no difference in this regard.

Pusher is not better for newbies. The purpose of jailbreaking is to get as much non-appstore software onto your device as you can. Installer only offers abotu 8% of what is in Cydia. Certainly having 8% of the software packages is not good for newbies.

This blog will tell you how to Unlock Jailbreak Activate and Hack your iPhone and iTouch firmware for FREE

A Mac OS X Jailbreaking tool that installs Installer, and other tools. Pusher works differently however; it installs files onto the user partition of the phone without opening the system partition up. It works for both 2G and 3G phones running 2.0.2, 2.1 and 2.2 firmwares. It is currently Mac OS X only, with a Windows Version releasing soon.

So my point is simple - jailbreak is no longer needed in its "traditional" form for most people. This is why we have developed a tool that does something else... and it's absolutely amazing. Here's what it does: it puts some tools (including our own Installer) onto the user partition of the phone without opening the system partition up! You get Installer, a whole world of third-party tools that didn't got into the AppStore for some reason, such as Kate, Qik, Snapture, and dozens of others, all that without compromising your security!

The tool is named Pusher (mostly because it pushes some things onto the iPhone, and because we found the allusion funny). It works for both 2G and 3G phones running 2.0.2, 2.1 and 2.2 firmwares. Simply download it, launch and follow the instructions on-screen - the whole process takes about 3 minutes.

To make your life even sweeter, we went ahead and added a few things for free that we thought might be useful - an alternative system font, an ability to set your SpringBoard background, two alternative Cyrillic keyboards, and a few other extras that might become useful. The Mac OS X version is available for download immediately, with a Microsoft Windows one following shortly after.

Pusher Homepage

This blog will tell you how to Unlock Jailbreak Activate and Hack your iPhone and iTouch firmware for FREE

MacWorld has published an article featuring seven ways to push mail to the iPhone without Microsoft Exchange.

Although the iPhone's documentation names Exchange specifically, Apple actually licensed and implemented Microsoft's ActiveSync protocol, which was developed for Exchange. Apple is not alone. In fact, several other mail and groupware server products, both commercial and open source, are available that implement ActiveSync and allow mobile clients, including the iPhone and desktop applications such as Outlook, to access the same push and over-the-air features available from Exchange.

Here's a rundown of the alternatives they suggest:
- Kerio MailServer
- Zimbra
- Zarafa and Z-Push
- Communigate Pro
- Icewarp
- NotifyLink
- Outsourced or hosted solutions

This blog will tell you how to Unlock Jailbreak Activate and Hack your iPhone and iTouch firmware for FREE
